Dexter Returns To The Scene Of The Crime

The neighborhood was jammed with trucks (equipment) filming another Dexter episode. The building in the background is the former Hollywood YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association).

Dexter - Advertising versus Advertising

Dexter Advertising - Street Shoot

Dexter Advert on back of bus (Line 704)
Dexter in the 'hood again.
This scene is in the 90038 zipcode.

All outdoor filming is done with lots and lots of security, both private rent-a-cops as well as off-duty Los Angeles Police Dept. officers. (replete with firearms). The rent-a-cop told me I could not take this photo. I took it for your viewing pleasure, anyway. If you are reading this and would like to see more Dexter pix, please leave a comment.

Dexter At The Hollywood YWCA

Dexter loves to shoot in the neighborhoods yours truly frequents. On Lodi Place, at Lexington Avenue is the former YWCA or Young Women's Christian Association apartment building. I've posted about it elsewhere at this 'blog. For a long time, this building, which is now owned by the Girl Scouts of America was a Jobs Corps barracks. What I saw on the street was lots of production vehicles, faux Miami Police cars, an ambulance, etc. All the stuff that Dexter fans love.

More "Action!" on Lucerne Blvd.

Arriving back on Lucerne Blvd. this morning, the set isn't even there. However there was a nice security guard and he told me that the scene was to be a nighttime shoot.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Dexter. So this is likely to be all that I'll get pix of. The red cone is one of 20 or more, lining the pavement. The wires are for lights and all the other appliances that need electricity.
This is for the camera rig and cameraman.
