Tusquellas At The Farmer's Market

Dear Reader:

There is nothing I can do about the color of this photo. Believe me, I tried. It's the restaurant portion of Tusquellas fish market and restaurant at the Farmer's Market. They have excellent seafood or I wouldn't include this bad a picture of the place. Yes, you will see a celebrity here occasionally. I saw Paul Sorvino once-upon-a-time.

Hollywood Post Modern "Angel"

The City of Los Angeles bought some art. This is one of many "angels" placed hither and thither around LA. This one stands near the entrance from the "Grove" side of the Farmer's Market, across from the Taschen Bookstore under the clock tower. He watches over:

Bryan’s Pit Barbecue - Excellent Texas-style beef, pork and chicken dishes (dinners and sandwiches always available) and savory side dishes. Locals often ask the guys behind the counter for a container of the barbecue sauce – it’s that good. Stall # 740 - (323) 931-2869

Betty Boop Shops The Farmer's Market

This life size image of Betty stands in a window. That's why you see scattered reflections of light. This image is from the Shine Gallery

Owner Bernie Shine is a treasure hunter who searches the world for genuine vintage memorabilia, which he recovers from old stores, factories and warehouses. Here you will find an astonishing selection of old stock items from bygone eras in unused condition ... toys, novelties, buttons, sport collectibles, patches, pennants, radios, and a cornucopia of other bona fide period objects, mostly from the 1910s through the 1960s. Be prepared to be amazed during this one-of-a-kind trip in time!

Stall # 134 - (323) 954-4700

The Non-Organic Farmer's Market at 3rd & Fairfax

This was the only "Farmer's Market" in Los Angeles for 6 or 7 decades. It still is the only Farmer's Market by that name, but due to the government allowing streets to be used for business the name Farmer's Market has been much diluted. Hollywood has it's own Farmer's Market, yet it should be called by it's proper name: the California Certified Organic Market at (or in) Hollywood. Yawn! Does government ever work?

Meanwhile, dear reader, this shot is from the Farmer's Market and Bob Tusquellas Sea Food still has the best fish in town. This is the take home counter. Tomorrow I'll show the restaurant.

High Style Gal

I would have a photo towards this gal, but I didn't see her until I was too far away to chase after her, turn around and get a candid photo. This is not a common sight at the Grove, but it is always there.
Her boots are HOT!
