Here are a few pix from outside the location of Tarantino's next 

movie: The Hateful Eight.

When I asked why the ice making equipment, I was told that the director (Tarantino) wanted the actors breath to be visible. The interior of the soundstage is therefore, under 32 degrees (0 celsius).

I caught the end of a location shoot today, while on my way to the market to buy the makings for Clam Chowder. 

These photos, taken along Santa Monica Blvd. in what is truly one of the seediest parts of Hollywood. The actual hotel is run down. The street is full of cheap goods sellers. It has been this way for over 40 years. 

As I came down Virginia Avenue, I saw this:

"Hotel" is stretching it.
