Almost a Grand Opening

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branch at the Sunset Media Center building has been nicely remodeled. There are plenty of places to sit outside, finally. There is even shade for some seating as you can see by the umbrellas. Sit along the east side if the traffic noise along Sunset Blvd. is too much for you. The Grand Re-Opening however, was not supported by Celebrities or Paparazzi.

Here is photographic proof:

Six Balloons

Six More Balloons
That's it, folks. Even the CBTL didn't care about the Re-Grand-Opening.

On another note, the new owner of this building had the exterior re-modeled. They paid about $75 million for 23 stories or about $3 million per story. That's a 322,000-square-foot building. The owner paid $233 per square foot. On an annualized basis that is $19 per square foot. They rental agent is asking between $3.75 to $4.00 per square foot per month. There is but about 51,000 square feet available for rent.

This office building is the home of Nielsen Research, the TV ratings company. In former times it was also the headquarters of the House of Blues.

If you visit Los Angeles and are tired of Starbuck's, try the Coffee Bean.

Fresh Meet on Larchmont's Street

This girl only recently moved to Hollywood. She is a singer and actress. Maybe a songwriter as well. I didn't have much of a chance to talk to her as she was off to find somewhere to live. Now I could tell you her name, but what if she becomes famous? Then there won't be a surprise.
Homeless????

We met at the Coffee Bean on Larchmont. The woman was exhausted from house-hunting.

She says she is from somewhere near Manhattan or Detroit. Maybe she's had too much caffeine. It doesn't matter. She has a nice smile and I can tell she has a winning personality.

If you have an unused two bedroom drop me a line in the comments section and I'll pass the info along.

That is an Mac laptop in her arms.

Reflected Reflection Reflecting on a Mirror Image

Don't get down on your Rounder over the title of this entry. It may have easily read:

Art Reflects Life and Life Reflects Art.

Yours truly was at a pricey, upscale café and as he sipped his (don't fear, I'm going to say) coffee (not a café latte, you yoctocerebral, ninnyhammering, gormless person). And as I sipped, I noticed that their are three reflections in this photo. The fellow with the Apple laptop is inside the café. The first reflection is on the left, where you can read the word backwards (flowers), and just below that, you can see the third image and in that is a reflection (in the flowershop's window) of the same building that the café is in. The last one is the tree, that casts a yellowish image, even though it is green. See here, pard', with the Rounder's Roundup, you get 3 for the price of 1.
