The Roosevelt Hotel, Charlie Chaplin & the Oscars
This is a photo of the exterior wall along Hollywood Boulevard at the Roosevelt Hotel. The Roosevelt was the home of the first Oscar ceremonies.

For decades, inside the foyer of the hotel there was a lifesize sculpture of a park bench with Charley Chaplin as The Tramp feeding pidgeons. When I was last inside, I didn't see it and all I could find was this plaque on the wall.
Security is sooooooo tight around the Kodak Theater for the Oscars (Feb. 22, 2009), that I, without a press pass, can't get within camera range of the celebs. So there won't be any pix of that, this year.
