Melrose Place, not the Warner Brothers televisions show, is a short street near La Cienega Boulevard in "West" Hollywood. I put West in quotes because it is a newly formed city compared to Hollywood. It is an upstart as cities go. La Cienega, means The Swamp, but you have to be very far south of Melrose Place to find swamp land.
