The City of Los Angeles using it's powers of eminent domain, took the entire block of Hollywood from Vine Street on the West between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue and Argyle Street on the east. This taking, to build this huge apartment, hotel, subway station complex. This is a photo of it near the completion of the project. The cranes are gone.
