The McCadden Theater or the Lex is also on Lexington Avenue at McCadden Place. 1157 N McCadden Pl, Los Angeles - (323) 465-1008. Don't ask why the street has the name: Place in it. Los Angeles tends to use Way, Boulevard, Avenue, Street, Place, Drive and such without regard to distinctions. The Lex is an "Equity waiver" theater. The actors aren't paid union scale wages. This allows all of these small theaters to operate as a business. If the actors had to be paid union scale wages, these workshops would close.
