California Surplus Mart at the north-east corner of the intersection of Santa Monica Blvd and Vine Street (zipcode: 90038). It has been here for over 30 years. They used to have real military surplus but not so much anymore. They do have clothing, but the prices are not 'discount'. The apartment building housing this store had a fire in it about 5 years ago. It must have been well contained, because the Surplus never closed. The Los Angeles Police Department surveillance camera is located on the top of the roof and can be seen from the south-west corner of the intersection.
